Paris to Zurich, End of Trip!

28. May: As soon as we land in Paris we head off to a transit desk to try to get some lunch vouchers. We're handed some without question, but finding a restaurant which would accept them was not that easy. We need to exit the terminal to another one but there we discover that they only have fast-food eateries. I settle for a Chinese menu and Annewien goes for some seafood.

At last it's time for our flight to Zurich and after a short hop we're back home! Whew!! We're back on a Monday, more or less on schedule.

We've had the experience of a lifetime during the 10 weeks of our journey. We've seen and experienced so much that it's difficult to comprehend! We had so much luck: we saw Fidel Castro live in Havana, his suite in Hotel Habana Libre was open by chance, we were in Antigua Guatemala at the time of the colourful Easter Processions (Semana Santa), we could do a Catamaran sailing trip in Guatemala, we saw the huge Volcanoes Poas and Arenal cloud-free in Costa Rica, the rare Quetzal bird in Monteverde, a giant Barracuda in Los Roques, the Angel Falls cloud-free in Venezuela, the same for Pico Espejo in Merida, Venezuela, and so much more! We were never been robbed, hardly ever been cheated, nothing significant got lost except my first diary, nothing broke, we never were sick except with a cold, never had stomach problems, no substantial delays or hassles. We were in countless hotels and so many airports. I discovered that Annewien is exceptionally marvelous to travel with, we've had so much fun together and hardly ever any problems between us, even though we were practically always together day and night. I'm really looking forward to and can't wait for our next experience together!
